National Business Crime Incident Database Testimonial

The Scottish Business Crime Centre (SBCC) is a unique partnership between Central Government, Police and the Business Community. It provides a dynamic and innovative approach to reducing business crime in Scotland, by promoting specific initiatives within industry sectors and community groups, spreading good practice in business related crime prevention, promoting research in the field, and by creating and supporting a network of relevant partnerships and programmes.

Central to SBCC's operations is the need to share information and in particular, crime intelligence. The medium required for such sharing of information is a crime intelligence database.

While such a database was in use within the SBCC a need was identified for the development of a new database to service existing and developing projects. "Netmedia investigated our whole IT environment whereby they were able to present a vastly more integrated solution than was anticipated. Netmedia raised possibilities that we had not even considered, which has resulted in a proposal which exceeded our expectations.
